McGowan and Chris Shipley have just published <strong><em>\u201cThe Empathy Advantage: Leading the Empowered Workforce,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>a book that speaks to this directly \u2013 and this podcast with Heather is focused on exploring some of the less obvious ways managers can powerfully demonstrate empathy to their people.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5873 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-wmplo.xyz\/mark-c-divi5\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-210x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging-wmplo.xyz\/mark-c-divi5\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-210x300.jpeg 210w, https:\/\/staging-wmplo.xyz\/mark-c-divi5\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image.jpeg 304w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In his book, <em>\u201cThe Future Normal,\u201d<\/em> our most recent podcast guest, Rohit Bhargava noted that both sexual identity and gender were emerging as a new form of diversity in workplaces.
